The Life That Revealed the Roots of Fear and Protection

I entered this session with a very clear and simple intention. I wanted to understand my family beyond this lifetime. There was a quiet knowing within me that these relationships did not begin here, and I was seeking a deeper awareness of those soul connections.

At the time, I was also carrying certain challenges in my life, although I did not consciously enter the session intending to address them. I had, in the past, struggled with speaking up, owning my truth, and standing my ground, particularly in the presence of authority. Public speaking had often felt uncomfortable, and there had been moments where I hesitated, as though my voice was not entirely safe to be expressed.

As a parent, I also recognised a deep sense of protectiveness towards my children. At times, it felt stronger than I could explain, though I had never fully understood where it came from.

None of these formed my conscious intention for the session.

And yet, what unfolded went far beyond what I had asked for.

As I was guided into the process by my therapist, I found myself moving into a lifetime set over 5,000 years ago in ancient Egypt. I was not observing this life from a distance. I was fully embodied in it, experiencing myself as a man, a soldier, in a strong and disciplined body.

As the session deepened, I was taken to a defining moment from my childhood in that lifetime. I saw myself being publicly humiliated and unfairly punished by a teacher. The emotional impact was immediate. I withdrew, felt ashamed, and became socially isolated.

Then came a profound and unexpected realisation.

The same individual who had humiliated me in that lifetime was also the one who had sexually abused me when I was four years old in this life.

The connection was undeniable.

In that moment, something shifted within me. For the first time, I was able to see clearly that the shame I had carried for so long was never mine. It had been imposed upon me in moments where I was vulnerable and unable to understand what was happening.

This awareness brought a quiet but powerful release.

As I continued to explore that lifetime, I saw how that early experience shaped much of my journey. I lived with a sense of isolation, forming very few close connections. And yet, there was also love.

My deepest bond was with my partner, who later became my wife. Together, we built a family and had children. This part of the experience felt grounding, filled with warmth and connection.

Then came another layer of understanding.

The woman who was my wife in that lifetime is my husband in this life. The children I had then are my children now.

Without consciously asking for it, my original intention had been answered.

I was being shown that these relationships had carried forward, evolving yet remaining deeply connected.

I was then guided to the final moments of that life.

I found myself on a battlefield, surrounded, with the clear knowing that we were going to lose. There was chaos, urgency, and no escape. I experienced the moment of being struck down, and as my awareness lifted from my body, I looked upon the devastation below.

What I felt most deeply in that moment was not fear, but grief.

A profound sense of failure.

I believed I had not been able to protect my family. I believed they had been lost.

As I returned to my present awareness, the connection became unmistakable.

The deep protectiveness I feel towards my children in this life is not without reason. It is rooted in that final moment, in that unresolved feeling of not being able to keep them safe.

And yet, with this awareness, something softened.

I recognise that I am not a restrictive parent. I allow my children to live freely and experience life fully. The protectiveness is still there, but it no longer comes from fear in the same way. It comes with greater awareness and balance.

At the same time, the challenges I once carried around speaking up and expressing myself began to make sense. These were not random patterns, but echoes of experiences where my voice had been diminished.

What is important is that this is no longer where I stand.

Over time, I have found myself speaking more freely, even enjoying public speaking on certain occasions. I am able to stand my ground with far greater ease and do not hesitate to voice my opinions when it truly matters.

What struck me most about this session was that I had not gone in seeking resolution for these aspects of my life.
And yet, they revealed themselves.

This was my first true past life regression experience, and it showed me that the process does not simply respond to what the conscious mind asks for. It brings forward what the soul is ready to see.

This experience was not about forcing change.

It was about understanding.

Understanding where these patterns came from, recognising that they were never the whole truth of who I am, and allowing that awareness to gently shift how I relate to them.

It showed me that my voice is not unsafe. That the shame I carried is not mine. And that protection does not need to come from fear, but from presence and trust.

This is the deeper gift of such work.

It is not only about answering the questions we bring, but also about revealing the ones we did not know we needed to ask.

And in that unfolding, something within begins to realign.
